These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rung, a daily word ladder game published by Oraya LLC ("Oraya," "we," "us," or "our"), together with its related pages on orayaus.com (the "Services"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Rung. Rung requires an account, created through Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, so that your progress can sync across your devices. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the security of the device and credentials you use to sign in.
Rung gives you a new word puzzle each day: climb from a start word to a goal word, changing one letter at a time, where every step is a real word. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store from which you obtained it.
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services, including daily puzzles, the archive, or features, at any time. We aim to provide a fresh puzzle each day but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Rung is free to play and offers optional in-app purchases, which may include removing ads, unlocking the puzzle archive, and hint packs. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store, and your payment, billing, and tax details are handled by Apple, not Oraya.
The free version of Rung is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob, which may include banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are always optional and are offered in exchange for in-game benefits such as hints. Purchasing "Remove Ads" turns off banner and interstitial ads. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

The Services, including the Rung name, logo, design, puzzles, word data, software, and all related content, are owned by Oraya LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in Section 3, no rights are transferred to you. You may share your own daily result cards generated by the App.
The App relies on third-party services, including Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, Game Center), Google (Google Sign-In, AdMob), and Supabase (authentication and data storage). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies. Oraya is not responsible for third-party services. The Apple App Store is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that puzzles will always be available. Your use of the Services is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oraya LLC and its members, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Oraya for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or US $25.
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings, then Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Services in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 9, 10, and 12) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Oraya LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding individual arbitration on a non-class basis, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court. You and Oraya waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section limits rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" above and may notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
